Figured I should start a videogame thread too since Moses has been around forever and not done it! Like the wrestling thread I want this to be more about videogames of old and new games too. No need to focus purely on the new stuff.

Poll
Favorite video game of all time?
Final Fantasy VIII
Favorite video game character of all time?
Probably Albert Wesker, he's so fucking badass that it hurts.
Favorite system of all time
Probably the PS3, just because I can play my favourite PS1 games on it (Resi 1 and 2 and FF8)
Worst video game you've ever played?
Speed Freaks for the PS1. We(me, my sister and brother) thought it was like Crash Team Racing, but it totally wasn't and it was just a shit wannabe of CTR/Mario Kart.
What got you into gaming?
Brother and sister. We always had a console when I was growing up. And I used to play football(soccer) management games growing up. Nothing like taking your supported team from the bottom league of your country up to one of the best sides in the country.
Current top five games of this generation?
1. Resident Evil 4 2. Batman Arkham City 3. Fallout New Vegas 4. Batman Arkham Asylum 5. Resident Evil 5(I love Wesker)
Favorite Video game genre?
Not sure, horror/suspense I guess.
If you were a video game character who would you be?
I'd be Wesker, he's one suave, badass muthafucker.
Got any good video game related stories? Not really, not unless you want to see my Modern Warfare 2 nuke log.

Worst video game you've ever played?
This one where I was a ball and I had to roll around and pick up gum wrappers and tootsie rolls. (I kinda liked it)
What got you into gaming?
I'm not, but I love me some polls.

what the devil. I don't know. I hate those shoot-em-up games, but I think talking smack to people would be fun. I don't think I'm even in your generation, though.
Favorite Video game genre?
80s-early 90s when you could rent Wheel of Fortune at Video Express.
If you were a video game character who would you be?
what, I'd be a girl creating video games.
edit: oh, oops, I thought it said "creator" and was all, what. I would be the floating Princess in Mario 3, I think. Or, my character in Sims. The one who didn't have any babies.

I am pretty sure if the Bama 6 Galaga machine could be found, I would still be the High Score.

The secret to thread longevity is to lure Kelly to it with polls.
Galaga was a good game but I won't lie I was pretty horrible at it. Also I don't like the shooter games either kelly. I play RPGs because those are for the thinking men/women!

The first Zelda game was pretty much an RPG. Final Fantasy was on the Nintendo and it was an RPG (the series is still going strong). Any game where you earn points to level up is an RPG really. Think D&D but on videogame consoles.

What got you into gaming? Since I can remember, I've always been drawn to computers. I started playing computer games when I was only 2 years old on an old Apple II. My brother is a lot older than me and he was playing, so of course I naturally had to play too. The first game I remember ever playing was Picadilly Pairs. Then my dad bought a Commodore 64. I started playing these two games called Alley Cat and Digger at the age of 4, and that's when I developed my first ever game addiction.

What got you into gaming?
Pinball machines. I used to ride my bike to an arcade to play pinball. Then started playing games like Xevious and Tron and Space Invaders and Frogger and Donkey Kong and Centipede and Galaga and so many others. And foosball and air hockey.

My friends and I used to ride our bikes to the mall to go to the gaming store and the arcade. We had to ride on a street that went over the interstate. I can't believe my parents let me do that.

My family would always go to the same hotel place in Panama City (whooowooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) each year when I was a kid. I was too young to PCB it up, but I was NOT too young to be the world's greatest champion at that Tapper game. I was so great.
Then, suddenly, one year they had changed it from BEER you slung to ROOT BEER.
I was still pretty good.

"Generation" in video games is determined by the big system releases. Something like:
1. NES (Ataris came before, but I don't think people used the term prior to). 2. SNES, Sega Genesis 3. PSone, N64, Sega Saturn 4. PS2, X-Box, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo GameCube 5. PS3, X-Box 360, Nintendo Wii
We're currently in that fifth one, but "5th Generation" is not a term, and I just numbered them for clarity.
